Contract for a 3-stage Reverse Osmosis plant (RO). One plant! Two tasks!

References Großbritannien

TDL Energie has been awarded the contract for the construction and delivery of a RO plant for a landfill site in Ireland.

At the Knock Harley landfill site in the north of Dublin, an incinerator bottom ash (IBA) processing plant is currently being built to treat 150,000 tonnes of ash per year from the Dublin waste incinerator.

TDL Energy is supplying one of its many proven containerised RO plants (3-stage) with a cleaning capacity of 120 m3/d to clean the landfill leachate in accordance with the strict Irish requirements.

The clean water (= permeate) produced in this process is then used in the ash processing plant for dust suppression to minimise dust formation during plant operation.

The TDL RO plant thus fulfils two tasks

  • Cleaning of the landfill leachate with the quality for direct discharge.
  • Dust suppression during the operation of the ash processing plant to minimise dust pollution in the ambient air
